Here’s my first pair of Nike foamposites Pro’s:
nicknamed Asteroids. I never thought I
would own a pair because they retail very expensive at $250 US. You can blame Gentry Humphrey for the
skyrocket price on retail because he took over the Hardaway line in 2012. But like most of his awful leadership, after
milking a sneaker line of terrible ideas and cheap quality, the hype dies and
eventually the sneakers hit outlets.
That’s where I came in and was able to scoop this pair up for
significantly less.
I’m not terribly in love with this colorway, but
it is a foamposite and I figured I might as well see what all the hype is
about. Truthfully I don’t remember this
model when it first released; and only became interested in it once I heard
others talk about it on forums. One
thing I do like about this sneaker is how it’s built to last and how it molds
around your foot over time; that’s pretty impressive for sneaker technology that
is over 20 years old. While (thankfully)
Gentry is long gone, and the foamposite line has gotten back on track in
prestige I’m still glad I was able to get this pair and experience a classic
Nike sneaker firsthand.
