The
minor league baseball team Lehigh Valley IronPigs made headlines today by
debuting their new official Saturday cap.
The “smell the change” hat comes in a grey and blue colorway and a nice
strip of bacon on the front. This is one
deliciously awesome hat.

Mezco Toyz Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie Smalls)
Holy smokes how fast
does time pass by? I wanted to do this
review on my Biggie toy for a while, but never had the time. Then when I finally did I noticed that the
toy was made in 2006. Back then I
remember that I was the only person that knew about this toy before it
released. I wanted it because he’s a fat
chubby toy that looks unique in any collection.
Since it wasn’t hyped on release I was able to get him for less than $18
(now he sells for much more).
Biggie was made by
Mezco Toyz, a company that specializes in unique pop culture toys and
collectables. I like them because they make
toys that other toy manufactures would never dream of making. Biggie was part of a series of Hip-Hop
collectables that Mezco made, which also included Public Enemy and various bobbleheads. The Biggie doll is the best in my opinion
because he stands at 9 inches tall, and comes dressed in various clothes. I was never a huge fan of Biggie Smalls
(except for a few tracks), but this action figure sure makes me appreciate his
talents even more.
Bonus:
picture of Biggie without any clothes, lol you know you were wondering

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014
Congratulations
Randy Orton... Again!
I’m
so happy Randy won because I hate Cena and Daniel Bryan.
WWE
will have some work cut out for them for Wrestlemania… building the match
between Batista and Orton.
Wyatt
Family vs. The Shield….. Match of the Year?
I think so, the buildup was incredible, though premature (would have
been better for Wrestlemania). Still the
match was exciting, and nonstop.

Nike SB Gibsons
These sneakers were
very controversial when they were released because of the hot pink fur. I’m not sure which one turned people the most
against these sneakers, the fur or the pink.
Either way it was okay with me because it made it easier to buy them. Though I would never consider buying a pair
of sneakers with hot pink fur on the ankle support, this was an exception
because it was well executed by Nike SB.
Call me whatever you want, but I’m a sucker for sneakers inspired by
other products.
These sneakers were
inspired by a vintage Gibson guitar case.
The guitar case would usually have a hard leather shell, with pink fur
inside. This sneaker was released as
part of a music series pack. In my
opinion the Gibsons were the best release of this pack. Beyond the concept of the sneaker, the most
important reason I bought these sneakers was because of the leather. The leather reminded me of the handmade 25th
anniversary Air Force 1’s. The leather
on the Gibson’s is soft and luxurious.
Great concept, and quality materials is the reason why Gibsons SB’s have
now become a highly sought-after sneaker.

New Era Oakland Athletics B-Grade Fitted
I bought this hat at an outlet when I saw it on
clearance. The price was right, it fit
perfect, and I didn’t have an A’s fitted in my collection. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized
one thing; the lip on the brim didn’t fold over the edge. The hat reminds me of the “Turn Ahead The Clock”
hats that had the brim flipped over. I
called the outlet to see if anyone knew why the brim was like this but nobody
knew, except the manager who said they were probably B-Grades. It’s funny to me because I never assumed that
New Era would allow B-Grades to be sold in stores. I’m sure most people wouldn’t even care, and
to an extent I don’t either because it still has the New Era quality that makes
them one of the best hats ever.

New Era Diamond Era Collection 2014
This
week New Era revealed their 2014 MLB Diamond Era collection fitteds. To my surprise they updated the Blue Jays
model by making it all red with a white maple leaf outline. The 2013 had a successful launch in a blue
and red colorway. Unlike a regular
on-field fitted, this model uses breathable fabric this is perfect for hot
weather. My only complaint about this
hat is the awkward placement of the Blue Jays logo on the back. Other than that this is a beautiful hat that
the team will use for Spring Training and during certain games (my guess Canada
Day, and Armed Forces day). The retail
price for these hats will be $35.99. The
only question now is, will the 2013 model go out of production and become a
collector’s item?
