Out of all the accessories that were released
from the Nintendo Vans collaboration my favorite is the Duck Hunt backpack. I just love how they mixed the digital camo
print with the 8-bit duck sprites from the game. There’s something wacky and cool about it. And of course the inclusion of the laughing
dog on the side was the cherry on top of this beautiful desert.
This being a Vans release the backpack also serves
a utilitarian purpose meant for everyday use.
The material and stitching is nice and strong, and many pockets and key holes
are provided. Unfortunately the bag isn’t
perfect because the size is small for adults, and it lacks a water bottle
pocket on the side. While I do love the bag, I think
I’ll leave it more to occasional use because of these shortcomings.
